Speaker Series: Women's Leadership & Breaking the Glass Ceiling

Although women make up a majority of the U.S. population and hold nearly 52 percent of all professional-level jobs, they are substantially underrepresented when it comes to holding leadership positions. In fact, women only make up 14.6 percent of executive officers, 8.1 percent of top earners, and 4.6 percent of Fortune 500 CEOs. These numbers are even more daunting for women of color.

Join us on Thursday, May 31 to hear from five accomplished women and learn how they were able to break the glass ceiling and achieve success in their respective fields. Panelists include:

  • Provost JoAnne A. Epps, Temple University
  • Dr. Brandi Baldwin-Rana, Founder and CEO of Millennial Ventures
  • Iola Harper, City of Philadelphia Deputy Commerce Director
  • Dr. Jamie Bracey, Director of STEM Education, Outreach & Research for Temple University
  • Shelley Smith, Partner at Archer Law & Montgomery County Solicitor
The panel will be moderated by Sincerely Syreeta. This is a free event brought to you by the generosity of Archer Law. Refreshments will be served.
