Job Description
The Marketing Content Associate is responsible for a variety of tasks including project coordination, providing administrative support to a dynamic and highly motivated marketing department, and, in particular, to the work efforts of the PR division of the marketing department.  Significant writing skills are imperative to this position as well as a high degree of organization, social media understanding, and collaboration skills; strong customer focus is required to carry out the responsibilities of this position.

Essential Functions:
  • Maintain editorial calendar and draft concept for Kimmel Center Blog with leadership of PR Manager
  • Coordinate social media communication between show marketing leads and social media consultant
  • Manage photo, video, artist bios, and marketing asset procurement and filings for all confirmed engagements
  • Manage video uploads to Kimmel Center YouTube playlists for upcoming shows to support kimmelcenter.org webpages and press release newsletter to news outlets
  • Under guidance of PR Manager, work across departments to gather requirements for various platforms of communication including, but not limited to: video, podcasts, newsletters, etc.
  • Manage awards calendar, drafting nominations and submissions for various institutional and programmatic initiatives & individuals across the Center
  • Schedule and assist with all video content development with leadership of PR Manager and Director of Media Relations
  • Assist with all building and event photography, including Education, Development, and Programming
  • Support PR Manager’s management of programmatic and institutional social media strategy for the organization working as liaison between the Marketing Leads and the Social Media Consultant and collaboratively with the Social Media Task Force
  • Maintain archive of photography in navigable system on external hard drive for posterity
  • Support PR Manager and Director of Institutional Marketing in creation of CEO letter and editorial content for Kimmel institutional materials
  • Community outreach, relations, and coordination for Kimmel presence at local fairs, festivals, and events
  • Manage the hiring of interns and oversees all intern projects including guest blog posts, social media content generation, and weekly newsletter to all staff
  • Maintain content of Kimmel Center press room and photo gallery
  • Oversee maintenance of a neat, organized and up-to-date archive of all photos, and news articles about the Center.
  • Assist in drafting of press releases, media alerts, etc.
  • Copy-editing marketing department materials and collateral
  • Assistance and coordination at select press and promotional events
  • Press table assistance at various events
  • Administrative assistance to Marketing Department, when needed
  • Performs other duties as directed
  • Support management of department budget
 
Education & Experience
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience working in Marketing or related field preferred
  • Associates or Bachelor’s Degree in relevant field
  • Multi-cultural familiarity
 
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
  • Excellent written and verbal skills
  • Superb interpersonal skills
  • Extremely organized, great attention to detail and excellent follow-through skills
  • Administrative ability
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office products
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Exemplary attention to detail and ability to multi-task with minimum supervision
  • Knowledge of project management software, database and list management tools
 
Environment/ Physical Demands/ Other Conditions:
  • While performing the duties of this position, the employee is frequently required to stop, reach, stand, walk, lift, pull, push, grasp, communicate, and use repetitive motions;
  • While performing the duties of this position, the employee may frequently lift and or move 25-40 pounds of materials;
  • The position requires the individual to meet multiple demands from multiple people and interact with the public and other staff.
