Farida E. Boyer is the Executive Director and Cofounder of the Black Brain Campaign (BBC) Association. A Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist and Approved Supervisor, she is dedicated to improving mental health, fostering community relationships, and increasing culturally competent clinicians. Under her leadership, BBC has provided over 10,000 hours of free mental health services and supported 1,000+ individuals across Pennsylvania. With 20+ years in education and social services, Mrs. Boyer previously worked at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia as a Lead Home Visitor. She serves on Pennsylvania’s Mental Health Planning Council and the State Licensure Board for Social Workers, Marriage & Family Therapists, and Professional Counselors. She holds a B.S. from Temple University and an M.S. in Clinical Counseling from Chestnut Hill College. A lifelong Pennsylvania resident, she chairs the Health & Wellness Committee for PCS.
